Our saddle fitting, tack maintenance, and horsemanship workshops cater to all levels of experience and provide a valuable opportunity for saddle fitters, horse enthusiasts, and equine industry professionals to enhance their expertise.

Overview

Intro to Saddle Fitting

This one-day in-person course is designed to provide a peek into the art and science of saddle fitting. Participants will gain valuable insights to assess their interest in pursuing a career in saddle fitting or simply enhancing their personal knowledge. This class is designed for horse owners, trainers, body workers, program directors and anyone who rides/manages/loves horses and wants to expand their knowledge.

Program length: 9am - 3pm

Maximum Enrollment: 8 students

Western Fitting for Fitters

Advanced Flocking for Saddle Fitters

This course is for certified, professional saddle fitters looking to expand their education. Each year we will focus on a different topic and will bring in professionals specializing in different disciplines, brands, flocking techniques, rider fit, and more!  There will be hands-on and classroom work in these classes.

Program length: 1-3 Days

Maximum Enrollment: 6 students

Location: Easthampton, MA

Fee: $400/day or $1000 for 3 days

Western Fitting for
Certified Saddle Fitters

This five day, in-person course is designed for certified saddle fitters who've previously completed a certification in English fitting but would like to expand their knowledge for the Western disciplines. Participants will learn to differentiate saddles associated with various Western disciplines including reining, barrels, ranch work, cutting, trail, and mounted shooting. We will explore different materials used to make saddle trees and how they apply to correct saddle fit. Students will also learn how to make padding adjustments to create a balanced fit for horse and rider. This continuing education course offers professional saddle fitters the ability to expand the scope of their practice safely and ethically for all Western riders.
