English Fitting & Flocking

 Western Fitting for English Fitters

This five day, in-person session is designed for  fitters who've previously completed a certification in English fitting but would like to expand their knowledge to Western disciplines. Participants will learn to differentiate saddles associated with various Western disciplines including reining, barrels, ranch work, cutting, trail, and mounted shooting. We will explore different materials used to make saddle trees and how they apply to correct saddle fit. Participants will also learn how to make padding adjustments to create a balanced fit for horse and rider. This clinic offers professional saddle fitters the ability to expand the scope of their practice safely and ethically for all Western riders  With a maximum clinic size of six students, participants benefit from personalized attention and hands-on learning opportunities. By the end of the program, participants will possess a thorough comprehension of Western saddle fit, adding to their already sound repertoire of English fit.
