Mikayla Pick is the leading independent saddle fitter for northern New England and upstate New York. Mikayla successfully launched her business, The Saddle Gal, after completing her saddle fitter training with Mike Scott in 2019. She holds a dual bachelor's degree in Equine Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Vermont, and she has successfully fit saddles to over 700 horses of all breeds and disciplines. With a wealth of knowledge and passion for teaching, it is Mikayla's mission to educate and support riders to use the right saddle within their budget, independent of any brand. As a lead trainer for Saddle Fit Academy, Mikayla's mission is to educate future saddle fitters, prioritizing equine well-being and optimizing comfort and performance for both horse and rider.
Lise Krieger brings three decades of teaching experience to the Saddle Fit Academy classroom. With a Doctorate of Education and extensive teaching tenure, Lise brings a wealth of pedagogical expertise to her role. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes experiential learning, empowering students to explore hands-on solutions to saddle-fitting challenges. Lise completed her saddle fitter training with Mike Scott in 2017 and launched her business, New England Saddle Fit, the same year. Prioritizing the welfare and comfort of the horse above all else, Lise’s mission is to find the saddle that’s best for the horse, the rider, and the rider’s budget, regardless of brand. She emphasizes the importance of correct saddle fit as integral as dentistry, hoof care, and veterinary work.
